[CES 2013] Acer Announces sub-$150 tablet: Iconia B1-A71

After several speculations and leaks, Acer's low-cost tablet has been finally unveiled at CES 2013. According to Acer, the Iconia B1-A71's price will be under $150 to compete with less familiar manufacturers of entry-level tablets such as Intex, Karbonn, iBerry, WickedLeak. The device features a 1.2 GHz dual-core ARM SoC along with 512 MB memory. Its 7-inch screen has 1024 x 600 pixels resolution.

Among other features, we need to mention the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity, a microSD card slot and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. In terms of internal storage, it will be available as the 8 GB version. The build quality seems to be fairly good with a triangular corner grip on the lower left side which improves single-hand usage. However, Acer did not indicate an official release date.
