[CES 2013] Lenovo IdeaPhone A800 and A690 Dual-SIM Smartphones Officially Unveiled

Lenovo has already announced a trio of Android smartphones at Consumer Electronics Show 2013 (CES), the IdeaPhone P770, S890 and S720.

All three handsets have been confirmed to arrive on the market in Q1/Q2 2013. According to Lenovo, IdeaPhone P770, S890 and S720 will be released in Russia, Indonesia and India, but they may be introduced in additional countries as well.

However, these are not the only Android phones announced by the Chinese company at CES 2013. The folks at Pocket-Lint report that two new IdeaPhone handsets have just been revealed at the trade fair, the A800 and A690.

Both budget friendly smartphones will be launched in China in January and select global markets soon afterwards.

Unfortunately, there are no details on the phones’ price tags or exact release date, but we can safely assume that they will be pretty competitive in China where Lenovo is one of the most important players in the smartphone market.

Specs-wise, both IdeaPhone handsets are far from being impressive, though the A800 might be a good alternative to other affordable Android smartphones.

Lenovo IdeaPhone A800 is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz.

It also sports a pretty decent 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 854 x 480 pixels resolution. The phone also features dual cameras (rear and front).
