[CES 2013] ViewSonic Unveils Windows 8 Certified Touch Displays at CES


ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solution products, today at CES announced its Windows 8 certified TD 40 Series, including the 23" TD2340, 27" TD2740 and 32" TD3240.


Exceptional interactivity comes standard in the TD 40 Series. With the 10-point projected capacitive touch technology, customers get the best in class touch experience with unparalleled accuracy and speed. The TD 40 family features Professional Grade IPS panels with 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution and 20,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio for stunning picture and color performance. Market leading connectivity inputs including DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA, along with full USB HID compliance and VESA mount compatibility make this Series the best Windows 8 certified commercial display investment.

For optimal interaction and comfort when using the Windows 8 operating system, the 23" TD2340 features a highly ergonomic design with dual hinge stand capable of 4-way adjustability, enabling the monitor to pivot or even lay flat. The 27" TD2740 model includes a unique picture frame stand which also allows this model to be laid flat for easier ergonomic usage. Additionally, the TD2740 offers an integrated webcam to deliver maximum opportunity for interactivity. For commercial applications, the TD3240, with optional stand, provides hospitality and retail sectors an interactive, versatile information kiosk-like signage solution. The screen with 7H surface hardness ensures high durability and touch accuracy, even in high traffic environments. All three models include integrated SRS Premium Sound speakers and Energy Star and EPEAT Silver certifications to complete the immersive multimedia touch display package.

The TD 40 Series will be available in North and Latin America. The TD2340 will be available in January, the TD3240 in February and the TD2740 in April, for respective ESPs of $599, $2,499 and $799. Customers will have the opportunity to interact with the entire touch display family at ViewSonic's booth (#35807) during CES 2013, including the TD 20 Series' 22" TD2220 and 24" TD2420.
