ASRock showed motherboard A55M-DGS on the A55 chipset


ASRock has officially announced to the market a new model of motherboard form factor Micro ATX, which is in the range of products received index A55M-DGS.

Motherboard ASRock A55M-DGS is based on chipset AMD A55 (Hudson-D2), and is designed to fit the AMD series A first generation in the performance of FM1. Supported by a TDP model which does not exceed the mark 100 watts.

Despite the fact that the model belongs to the segment of entry-level devices, it has managed to get hold of one of the first certificate of compatibility with the Windows operating system 8.

Just below the CPU socket, ASRock has established two slots for memory modules of DDR3 operating frequency to 2400 MHz. The maximum amount of memory could reach 16 GB.

It is also worth noting codec Realtek ALC662, responsible for the withdrawal of 5.1-channel audio, and support technologies XFast RAM, XFast LAN and XFast USB. A set of expansion slots are too "poor", one PCI Express 2.0 x16 and one PCI.

The platform also provides for the installation of four solid state drives with four ports SATA 3 Gbit / s. The description indicated support for RAID 0, 1 and 10.


At the interface panel handed down four-port USB 2.0, RJ-45 connector, three audio jacks, two PS / 2 port, as well as video output DVI and D-Sub.
