128GB iPad with Retina Display Now Available

Apple last month introduced a new version of the iPad with Retina display which doubles the amount of on-board storage from 64GB to a whopping 128GB, setting a new benchmark for Flash storage on tablet computers.

Announced on January 29 via a traditional press release from Cupertino, California, the new iPad has only one enhancement – double the storage of the high-end iPad 4.

Apple said in the press statement, “The new 128GB versions of the fourth generation iPad will be available starting Tuesday, February 5, in black or white, for a suggested retail price of $799 (US) for the iPad with Wi-Fi model and $929 (US) for the iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular model.”

In Europe, the tablet retails for $799 and $929 (Wi-Fi+Cellular), respectively, which is considerably higher.

All versions of the 128GB iPad are currently sold through the Apple Online Store, Apple retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers worldwide.
