New LG Optimus L Series officially announced: L7 II, L5 II, L3 II

LG has officially unveiled its second-generation L Series Android smartphones, which, as previously rumored, are: Optimus L7 II, Optimus L5 II, and Optimus L3 II.

Building on the success of the first L Series (sold in more than 10 million units around the world), the three devices offer “contemporary design aesthetics and innovations that improve on the original”, and include new design elements: Seamless Layout, Radiant Rear Design, Laser Cut Contour, and “Smart LED Lighting on the home button.”

Obviously, the Optimus L7 II is the top of the line. Its features include Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 4.3 inch IPS WVGA display, Quick Memo, VGA front-facing camera, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support. The handset measures 121.5 x 66.6 x 9.7 mm, and comes with a 2,460 mAh battery.

The Optimus L7 II will be available starting this week – in Russia first – for a price that hasn’t been disclosed. The L5 II (4 inch WVGA display, 1,700 mAh battery) and the L3 II (3.2 inch QVGA display)  will be launched a bit later.

All three new Optimus L Series II handsets have dual SIM versions, and will be showcased later this month in Barcelona, during Mobile World Congress 2013
