BlackBerry Z10 Lands in Canada Today

Starting today, mobile phone users in Canada will be able to purchase the new BlackBerry Z10 device via various wireless carriers in the country, just as BlackBerry officially announced on January 30.

Those who would like to take advantage of the features and capabilities of the re-designed BlackBerry 10 operating system will have a nice range of options at their disposal.

The smartphone has already been confirmed at Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Koodo Mobile, Fido, Virgin Mobile, and SaskTel for today, and should arrive on shelves at MTS, WIND, Videotron and Mobilicity soon.

Furthermore, the smartphone will go up for sale through retailers such as Best Buy, Future Shop, London Drugs, The Mobile Shop and The Source.

Users will be able to grab the device for $139.99 on a 3-year contract at Rogers, or for around $150 (around 110 Euro) on contract at Bell, TELUS, Koodo Mobile, Virgin Mobile and SaskTel.

Those who would like to buy the phone without committing to a contract will have to pay a bit more for it, namely $600 (aprox 443 Euro) at Fido, Rogers and SaskTel, or $650 (around 480 Euro) at Virgin Mobile, Bell and TELUS. Koodo Mobile has it cheapest, at $550 (about 406 Euro).

The new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone was made official with a 4.2-inch HD touchscreen on the front, as well as with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor packed inside, complemented by 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, BlackBerry packed the device with 16GB of internal memory, as well as with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording.

The handset also comes with front camera for video calling, microSD memory card slot, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, NFC capabilities, GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

On top of all these, there’s the new BlackBerry 10 operating system, which should prove users with a brand new experience, courtesy of features such as BlackBerry Hub, a faster browser, BlackBerry Balance, and more.
