Samsung Galaxy S II Plus i9105 launched in Europe. Also visits the FCC

About a week after it was launched in South East Asia, the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus i9105 is now available in Europe, too. You can buy the new smartphone in at least three European countries: Germany, Finland, and Romania.

In Germany, Amazon is selling the Galaxy S II Plus for €364 (about $493) – unlocked, of course.

The handset’s price is slightly higher in Finland, where retailer Gigantti is asking €378 for it. The cheapest S II Plus can be bought in Romania, where Orange is offering it for €315 without contract.

Although the S II Plus has two color versions, only the blue one seems to be available for now. So you’ll probably have to wait a bit more if you want the white edition.

Meanwhile, the smartphone has been approved by the FCC in the US – and, since it features 850 / 1900 MHz HSDPA connectivity, it could be released by AT&T (but I don’t think this will actually happen).

Officially announced at the beginning of January as a refreshed Galaxy S II i9100, the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus i9105 runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and comes with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, TouchWiz UI 5.0, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 1.2GHz dual-core Broadcom processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable memory.
