Alcatel has announced a new Android tablet that's certainly weird. Called One Touch Evo 7, the device is presented as a "modular tablet" - because it comes with an optional "3G module" that obviously provides 3G connectivity. Without said module, which is housed in a removable (and colored) frame, the tablet is a Wi-Fi-only device.
The One Touch Evo 7 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and features a 1GHz processor, front-facing camera, and MicroSD card support. Its display is a 7 inch one of unknown resolution.
Alcatel didn't say how much the One Touch Evo 7 would cost, and neither when it will be released. But I assume it will hit shelves across Europe soon. I don't think the tablet will make it to the US - at least not under this name, since "Evo" is widely associated with Sprint's Android devices.
