Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you know that LG is going to unveil this year's Nexus smartphone in conjunction with Google pretty soon (possibly even this month).
This device has been rumored to be based on the LG Optimus G, with similar specs yet different looks. LG's first Nexus device doesn't seem to have a definitive name yet, so we'll just call it the LG Nexus until that changes.
The LG Nexus has been spotted in a couple of benchmarks, now that its codename (Mako) is out in the wild. That's good, because it allows us to confirm the fact that the handset will come with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, as well as 1280 × 768 screen resolution.
In the image above, the resolution is noted as being 1196 × 768. Those 'missing' vertical pixels are in fact used to show the Android 4.x software-rendered buttons.
Here's hoping LG and Google launch this beast as soon as possible.
