Antec Unveils High Current Pro Platinum Grid Series PSUs

Antec unveiled the first of its "smart" PSUs that rival Corsair AXi line, the High Current Pro Platinum Grid. The PSU plugs into your motherboard over a vacant USB 2.0/1.1 header, and interfaces with Antec Grid, a software that lets you monitor and log the unit's overall efficiency, various power domains, rails, temperatures, fan-speeds.

It lets you override the unit's fan-speed curve, and monitor temperature over four sensors, reading from four key zones of the unit. Innards of these 80 Plus Platinum-certified PSUs are otherwise identical to the High Current Pro Platinum series launched last year, and are available in identical high-Wattage variants: 750W, 850W, 1000W, 1200W, and 1300W.

These PSUs feature fully modular cabling, the 750W variant is ideal for gaming PC builds with up to two graphics cards, the 850W and 1000W three, and the others four. The company also showed off various HCP Platinum PSU models, most of which were launched at last year's Computex.
