Sharp Intros ICC Purios 4K 60" LED TV


Sharp launched its flagship television for the season, the ICC Purios LC-60HP10. The 60-incher features consumer 4K (aka Ultra HD) resolution, that's 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, and the ICC (integrated cognitive creation) image processor, which Introduced for the first time as a prototype during CEATEC 2012, Sharp new 4 "ICC TV is now a reality and welcome the stunning ICC PURIOS LC-60HP10 from Sharp! Announced for February 20, 2013 launch in Japan, the ICC Purios is a 4K 60 "Wonder that will cost a whooping 2.62Million Yen at launch!

The ICC Puros LC-60HP10, apart from its 4K panel and region-specific TV tuner, features THX4K and DLNA compliances, it features USB 3.0 ports, to which you can plug in USB mass-storage devices, from which the TV can play back content, and record content onto; and wired LAN, which lets you connect the TV to the internet to gain access to live and on-demand content providers, without needing set-top boxes masquerading as game consoles, to do that.

Global availability of the ICC Puros LC-60HP10 is expected only after February 2013. In Japan, the TV demands a hefty price of 2.62 million Yen (US $ 31,400), a sign that 4K still isn't mainstream, and that in a matter of years, you could regret spending a five-figure sum on it. It's on Sharp now, to sell ICC well.
