Vodafone is getting ready to launch two new own-branded Android tablets: the Smart Tab III 7 and Smart Tab III 10.
Like the Smart Tab II tablets (introduced last year), the new ones are manufactured by Lenovo. Thanks to the Bluetooth SIG (see here and here), we know that both will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean from day one.

The Smart Tab III 10 has a 10 inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixels, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 1GHz MediaTek processor (the number of cores isn’t specified). It appears that the Smart Tab III 7 has similar specs, although, of course, its 1280 x 800 pixels display is a 7 inch one.

We don’t know exactly when the new Vodafone tablets will be available, but it should happen pretty soon. Most probably, the UK will be the first market to get them. Prices should be low – as always in the case of Vodafone’s own-branded devices.
