Nexus 4 gets confirmed by LG. Google to announce Nexus 10 tablet and Android 4.2 too next week

In exactly one week from today, Google is holding an event in which it's widely expected to unveil the latest Nexus devices.

First off, the oft-leaked LG Nexus 4 is now a certainty, since its existence has been confirmed by LG itself, through Amit Gujral, the company's head of Mobile Product Planning. He also confirmed some of the specs of the next Nexus smartphone, namely the 4.7-inch touchscreen, as well as the 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. According to Gujral, the Nexus 4 will run Android 4.2.

And that's exactly what's rumored to also be unveiled during next Monday's event. Android 4.2 will confusingly still be called Jelly Bean, and as its model number implies, it will be a minor revision of Google's mobile OS. It will bring support for multiple users on tablets, and also some new panorama camera settings, to complement the usual slew of bug fixes and performance enhancements.

Alongside the LG Nexus 4 and Android 4.2, Google is set to present a 10-inch tablet to the world next week (that may or may not end up being called Nexus 10). As previously rumored, this will be made by Samsung and will come with an insane, Retina-beating 2,560 × 1,600 resolution on its 10.1-inch touchscreen.

Finally, the successful Nexus 7 tablet will get an upgrade of sorts too, with two 32 GB versions being released: one Wi-Fi-only, and the other with support for HSPA + mobile data connectivity as well.

These supposed launches all make sense to us, but it remains to be seen how accurate this rumor has been. That is, aside from the Nexus 4 confirmation, which isn't a rumor anymore - it's fact now. Over the next few days, we'll probably find out all that is to know about everything that Google has in store for us.
