HTC Desire C became available at Cricket

The budget-friendly HTC Desire C has just landed at Cricket. The smartphone is now available for purchase for only $ 180 USD (140 EUR) outright.

According to Cricket, the handset can be activated on one of its three monthly smartphone service plans options starting at $ 50 USD (40 EUR) per month. Check it out here.

In addition, the phone is fully compatible with Cricket's Muve Music service. Moreover, thanks to the integrated Beats Audio technology, the HTC Desire C enables users a crystal clear audio experience while listening music

There's more to it as HTC Desire C ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, the latest version of Google platform that this entry-level phone can run within the parameters. On top of that the smartphone runs HTC Sense 4.0 user interface.

The Desire C is equipped with a low-performance 600 MHz single core processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 200 graphics processing unit and 512 MB ​​of RAM.

There are 4GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. On the back, the Desire C packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper with video recording. Sadly, the phone does not come with front-facing camera for video calling.

Although not among the high-end Android smartphones, HTC Desire C features a vibrant 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

Last but not least, the smartphone is powered by a 1230 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide up to 450 hours of standby time or up to 6 hours of talk time.
