ASUS Transformer Prime Tablet Gets Jelly Bean Update (Android 4.2)

ASUS Transformer Prime is pretty old at this point, as far as tablets go, but it is still a Tegra 3-based product and, thus, more than capable of handling the latest version of Google's mobile operating system.

As reported by Planet Android, the Transformer Prime TF201 tablet is finally ready to welcome the newest version of Jelly Bean.

Android 4.1 was the original software, but Android 4.2 brings some extra features, such as the ability to add multiple user accounts.

That means that each user can configure their own homescreens, apps, games, savegames, software settings, etc.

The transition from Android 4.1 to 4.2 should be smooth, but there is no precise ETA (estimated time of arrival) yet. When the software package does become available, owners should make sure their Wi-Fi connection is stable.
