Lenovo’s P770 smartphone boasts 29-hour battery life

After the quad-core IdeaPhone K860, the waterproof and dual-SIM A660, and the woman-friendly S720, China's Lenovo now has another new and interesting Android smartphone: the P770.

What's special about the Lenovo P770 is that it comes with a 3,500 mAh Li-Po battery - which is larger than the 3,300 mAh one found on Motorola's Droid Razr Maxx and Maxx HD. According to Lenovo, this battery can provide up to 29 hours of talk-time, or up to 644 hours of stand-by time (that's 26 days).

The P770 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with a bit of Lenovo customization. Its other features include a 4.5 inch IPS display with 960 x 540 pixels, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and a VGA front -facing camera. The handset measures 133 x 67 x 11.9 mm, weighs 161 grams, and doesn't look bat at all:

The Lenovo P770 seems to be available in China as of now. It costs 1,699 CNY, meaning about $ 273, or € 210 (an 8GB MicroSD card is included in this price). Unfortunately, we don't know if Lenovo plans to launch the P770 - or a similar handset - outside China anytime soon.
