Kinsight system based on Kinect will help you find things scattered around the house


Easily and quickly find scattered around the house stuff, whether it be a purse, a TV remote control or keys, you can help a system of sensors Kinect, developed by engineers at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville (USA). Kinsight records the location, size and shape of household items, using high-precision camera Kinect, installed in each room. 

The system has its own database and is able to distinguish objects similar in shape. Location of objects the size of a fist showing up 13 centimeters. 

Currently, the user must manually enter the desired object, but in the future, engineers will design a custom application for smartphones that will facilitate this process. Presentation of the conference was held Kinsight DCOSS 2012 in China.
