Sony showed a waterproof camcorder HDR-GW77V

Sony has revealed its new waterproof camcorder Sony HDR-GW77V, which is abbreviated as Sony 77V. Unlike most protected camcorders Sony HDR-GW77V removes not familiar to many users format MP4, which has become synonymous with the phrase "low-quality video," and in the format of AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition), which is used by virtually all high-end camcorders.

It goes without saying that the Sony HDR-GW77V writes as Full HD. In their work the camera relies on 20.4-megapixel image sensor EXMOR BSI, a 17-fold optical zoom and a built-in flash. The device can withstand immersion in water to a depth of 5 meters, but it does not interfere with use of 3-inch touch screen in normal mode. The colors on the screen look the most realistic, even while conducting underwater.

According to the specifications, Sony 77V can easily stand a fall from a height of 1.5 meters, has a geotagging feature (the coordinates of where the material was recorded), internal storage capacity of 16 GB, connectors for SD / SDHC card and Memory Stick.

This is nice, but it doesn’t come for cheap. At the moment, Sony HDR-GW77V is one of the most expensive waterproof camcorders. Its retail price is $ 700. In the sale of novelty will arrive later in June.
