Lumia 920 on Pre-Order in the UK Ahead of Tomorrow’s Launch

Mobile phone users in the UK can already pre-order Nokia's Windows Phone 8 flagship handset, Lumia 920, ahead its launch tomorrow at wireless carrier EE.

The smartphone was made official in early September, but specific info on its availability was provided only this week, when Microsoft officially launched the new mobile operating system.

Users in the country interested in the purchase of the handset can now head over to online retailer Phones4U to reserve a unit before it goes up for sale.

Lumia 920 arrives at EE with support for the wireless carrier's 4G LTE network and can be purchased with monthly contracts available for the service.

Thus, users can choose to grab it on £ 36 per month plans and pay £ 140 ($ 226 / € 175) for the device, or can opt in for the £ 56 plan, which requires only £ 20 for the handset. The cheaper plan provides them with 500MB of data, while the more expensive one with up to 8GB of monthly data.

Other monthly plans are also available for users to take advantage of, all detailed at Phones4U on this page.

As for the device itself, in addition to the features of Windows Phone 8 and the fast data speeds on LTE, it will deliver a great viewing experience while on the go, courtesy of its 4.5 "IPS TFT display with PureMotion + technology and Gorilla Glass coating .

Nokia also packed a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor inside the new smartphone, along with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, without the possibility to expand it (though users will enjoy 7GB of SkyDrive storage with it).

On the back, the new handset sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for full HD video recording, complemented by a front camera for video chatting.

The smartphone also arrives on shelves with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS receiver and the full range of sensors that can be found inside today's high-end devices.
