Acer's Aspire lineup will soon be updated through the release of the Aspire Z3-600, a 21.5-inch all-in-one PC running Microsoft's Windows 8.

Jumping on the all-in-one or AIO train, Acer has just announced four new large flat screen computers. Unlike most AIO units however, these models from the company’s new Smart LCD Monitor DA and TA series all run a more or less recent Android OS.

Acer Iconia W4 tablet official as Acer tries 8-inch Windows 8 again

Acer C720 Chromebook taps Haswell and SSD for 8hr battery

It’s obviously a week for Chromebooks, with Acer’s new C720 Chromebook joining HP’s Chromebook11 offering cloud-centric mobile computing, this time at the even lower price of $249.99. Sticking with Intel’s x86 chips rather than the ARM-based processor in the HP machine revealed on Tuesday, the Acer C720 steps up to a Haswell-generation Celeron 2955U for better performance and battery life, with the promise of up to 8.5hrs of runtime despite being 30-percent thinner in your bag.

Acer unveils 24-inch all-in-one running Android with a Tegra 3 CPU

Acer introduced its first Android-powered all-in-one earlier this year at Mobile World Congress, and it's following up with a second model here at IFA. The just-announced DA241HL is a 24-inch touch machine running Android Jelly Bean 4.2 with a quad-core Tegra 3 processor under the hood. Yes, you read that correctly -- that NVIDIA chip is usually found in mobile devices, but Acer's found a home for it in a decidedly larger package. 

Acer outs 27-inch WQHD touch display for €799

Acer certainly takes the cake for most product announcements before IFA's even officially begun. In addition to outing a new smartphone, tablet, all-in-one (and a few Haswell updates), the company is introducing a 27-inch WQHD display.

Acer T272HUL joins Ultra-High Resolution Display trio

The Acer T272HUL Ultra-High Resolution Display is one of three new such IPS LCD monitors hitting the market this year, each of them working with well-above-average high-definition collections of pixels up front. Each of the three works with either a 27 or 29-inch panel and the whole lot sees 178 degree viewing angles both vertically and horizontally. While the T272HUL works with full 10-finger touchscreen capability, the two remaining monitors are aimed at the professional world – the world that doesn’t necessarily have a need for touch.

Acer unveils Liquid Z3 - midrange droid with dual-SIM option

The Acer Liquid Z3 is a 3.5-incher running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is targeted at budget-minded smartphone users. It will go on sale in Belgium, Netherlands, France, Spain, UK, Italy, Germany, Ukraine and Russia for the price of €99 (around $132) from mid-August in two colors - Rock Black and Classic White.

Acer C7 Chromebook Line Expanded for Education, Business Customers

Acer America today announced that it has expanded its line of Acer C7 Chromebook models for its commercial customers, including schools and businesses that need reliable, fast and affordable technology for their students and work forces. Acer Introduces Z3-605 Series All-in-One PC
