Asus’ 7-inch tablet revealed last month at Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona is about to make its debut in Taiwan.
Taiwan is the first country that will get the FonePad, followed soon by China and Hong Kong. The slate will be available for TW$8,990 outright, which is about $300 or €230.
Asus FonePad is a phone/tablet device that allows users to take and make calls, while taking advantage of its large IPS LCD screen that supports 800 x 1280 pixels resolution.

The slate will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, as well as a decent 1.2 GHz single-core Intel Atom Z2420 processor.
Furthermore, the FonePad packs 8/16GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.
