Nokia has introduced only two new Windows Phone 8 handsets this year: the Lumia 720, and Lumia 520. As you probably know, neither of them is a high-end device. So the company’s current flagship smartphone is still the Lumia 920.
But we’ve heard a lot about upcoming high-end WP8 devices like the Lumia 928 and the Lumia Catwalk.
These might be officially announced on May 14 – as Nokia has just unveiled that it’s going to host a press event in London then. From the line “See what’s next – the Nokia Lumia story continues” we can only deduce that there will be new smartphones on display.

Previous rumors had it that the Lumia 928 would be available at Verizon starting May, so this event certainly comes at the right time. The question is: why announcing a US-bound device in London? Well, maybe it’s because the 928 will be available globally. Or maybe it’s just the Nokia Catwalk that’s going to be announced. Another possibility: both handsets will become official on May 14.
The Catwalk (possibly pictured earlier this month) should sport an aluminum frame, featuring a 4.5 inch HD display, dual-core Snapdragon processor, and an 8.7MP rear camera. As for the Lumia 928, this supposedly features a PureView camera, a 4.5 inch display, and LTE connectivity.
