The Samsung Galaxy S4 is now up for pre-order at both AT&T and US Cellular. This is hardly unexpected, since both carriers have officially announced today as the big day for the pre-orders to start. This was ‘confirmed’, so to speak, by a purported leaked document that surfaced yesterday. That, however, did not get the actual release date right.
At both AT&T and US Cellular the smartphone is set to start shipping on April 30. So it looks like AT&T missed the initial ‘tentative’ release date of April 26, if only by a little. AT&T will still be the first carrier at which you’ll find Samsung’s latest toy, alongside US Cellular. T-Mobile and Verizon will follow, but there’s nothing official yet from those companies.

At AT&T, a Galaxy S4 costs $199.99 with a new two-year contract. That’s the exact same price as the one US Cellular is charging. So it looks like Samsung’s latest is coming with the standard pricing for a high-end smartphone bought on contract in the US.
If you want to be among the first people in the US to own a Galaxy S4, then make sure you pre-order one now either at AT&T or US Cellular. We’ll let you know when other carriers join the club.
