Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Duos (GT-I9152) and Mega 6.3 officially priced

While you can’t buy either of Samsung’s new Galaxy Mega phablets anywhere in the world at the moment, both will be released pretty soon, and it looks like India is among the first markets to get them.

Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Galaxy Mega 5.8 in India, providing – for the first time – details on their prices. The Mega 6.3 will cost 31,490 INR (about $565 or €437). The Mega 5.8 has been priced at 25,000 INR ($447, or $346).

The dual SIM version of the Galaxy Mega 5.8 (model number GT-I9152) will be available in India starting June 3. Customers can reserve one online here. The handset’s regular version (GT-I9150) might not be released that soon. Also, there’s no word on the exact launch date of the Mega 6.3.

We’ve heard that the Galaxy Mega 6.3 would cost about £460 (€540) in the UK. However, seeing its official price for the Indian market, we assume it’s going to cost less when it actually becomes available to British users.

Since it;s more expensive than the Galaxy Mega 5.8, the Mega 6.3 has more advanced features, including an HD display, LTE, and a dual-core 1.7GHz processor. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 comes with a qHD screen and a dual-core 1GHz CPU. Both devices run Android Jelly Bean (4.2).
