Motrola X could be launched on August 26 at US Cellular

It’s no secret that Motorola and Google will launch their Moto X phone via all major US carriers pretty soon. While US Cellular is not among the big four, it looks like it’s getting the new handset, too.

According to an internal memo received by Android Central, US Cellular will start selling the Motorola X on August 26. There are no pricing details for now.

It remains to be seen if Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will release the smartphone at the same time. They might do it a bit earlier (previous rumors have pointed to a launch on August 23).

August is also the month when the Moto X (pictured below) is expected to hit Canada – Rogers has prematurely revealed this in a video last week.

Google has scheduled an event for next week (July 24), when it should unveil something related to Android and / or Chrome. It could certainly reveal more about the Moto X then. Or maybe we’ll see the new Android 4.3. We’ll let you.

Interestingly, Motorola will hold its own press even one day earlier, on July 23. However, that’s going to be about Verizon’s exclusive Motorola Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini – so it’s unlikely that the Moto X will make an appearance then.
