Verizon has finally let the world know when its Moto X will be released. Customers will be able to order the handset online starting August 29, while in-store availability is scheduled for “the coming weeks.”
For the beginning, Verizon will have the Moto X only in black and white. Moto Maker (which lets you customize the device) for Verizon’s Moto X will be available “later this year.”

Officially announced by Motorola on the very first day of August, the Moto X is assembled in the US, and features: a 4.7 inch HD AMOLED display, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, LTE, NFC, Motorola’s X8 Mobile Computing System (which includes a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon processor), 10MP ClearPixel rear camera, and a 2,200 mAh battery.
Meanwhile, Verizon has already started offering three other new Motorola handsets: Droid Ultra ($199.99 on contract), Droid Maxx ($299.99 on contract), and Droid Mini ($99.99 on contract).
