Lenovo's elusive ThinkPad Tablet 2 is now up for orders on the company website, which Lenovo will ship at the earliest, by the second week of 2013. The 10.1-inch Windows 8 tablet was originally slated for availability in October, but has been facing delays.
Available in three variants, priced at $649 for the base model, $679 for one that includes a pen and digitizer, and $729 for one with Windows 8 Pro in place of standard Windows 8; the ThinkPad Tablet 2 is driven by Intel Atom Z2760 dual-core x86 processor clocked at 1.50 GHz with 1.80 GHz "Burst," 2 GB of LPDDR2 memory, 64 GB of flash storage, and a 1366 x 768-pixel 5-point touchscreen.
