New software updates might arrive on Sony's latest Android devices in the not too distant future, as the company has already received certification for them.
PTCRB has reportedly certified new firmware releases for both Xperia V and Xperia J, though no specific info on when they might receive the updates has been provided as of now.

The Xperia V (LT25i) has seen its first firmware certified over at PTCBR as version 9.0.D.0.457, though it seems that this is not the latest software update for the device. The software is based on Android 4.0.4, though Jelly Bean is also expected to land on this handset next year.
As for the cheaper Sony Xperia J (ST26i), it has seen firmware version 11.0.A.7.5 receiving the necessary approvals.
There is also a new firmware certified for the older Xperia ion (LT28h) device, namely version 6.1.E.3.4.
