Blu Dash 3.5 smartphone debuts at $99.99

Blu Products has announced a new Android-powered smart phone called the Blu Dash 3.5. The new smartphone is offered as an unlocked device supporting dual SIM cards and an impressively low price. Typically, an unlocked smartphone that supports multiple SIM cards will cost hundreds of dollars.

The Blu Dash 3.5 is available right now in the US and in Latin America at an MSRP of $ 99.99. A version of the phone supporting only one SIM card is expected to launch with mobile operators in Latin America this November. Presumably, it will be even cheaper. The smartphone comes in white or black colors and ships with a 4 GB micro SD card for storage.

Blu offers various other door colors for the back of the phone allowing users to customize the look, including pink, blue, green, and yellow colors. The phone features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480. The phone supports GSM quad band, EDGE, and 3G HSDPA connectivity. The operating system for the smartphone is Android 2.3. The phone has a two-megapixel rear camera and uses a QUALCOMM 1 GHz processor.

On top of the phone is a 3.5 mm audio jack and the device can be used as an MP3 player. The phone also features integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. This is certainly a basic smart phone, but for users on a budget who don't want a contract and need a device that will use multiple SIM cards, the Dash 3.5 is impressively affordable.
