On Friday, UK wireless carrier Three officially announced the upcoming availability of the Huawei Ascend P2 smartphone on its network.
The new device will be compatible with the carrier’s Ultrafast network that already covers 80 percent of the UK population and which supports DC-HSDPA technology at the moment, with 4G LTE planned for later this year.

The Huawei Ascend P2 will arrive at Three UK with support for the upcoming 4G LTE network, so that users could enjoy a great experience while on the go, without having to pay a premium, swap SIM cards or change price plans.
The new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-based mobile phone lands on shelves with a 4.7-inch HD IPS touchscreen display protected by Gorilla Glass, as well as with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor packed inside.
The smartphone also arrives with 1GB of RAM and with 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.
On the back, it sports a 13-megapixel photo snapper, with support for full HD video recording, while also packing a 1.3MP camera on the front, so that users could make video calls while on the go.
Huawei Ascend P2 sports a 2420 mAh battery inside, along with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, NFC, and Dolby Mobile Plus sound all packed inside a 136.2 x 66.7 x 8.4 mm body that weighs 122 grams.

Three UK has already added the Huawei Ascend P2 to its coming soon page, though it did not provide specific info on when the device will become available for purchase, nor on the price tag it would feature.
