Affordable LG Optimus F3 landing at T-Mobile on August 7

T-Mobile USA announced that it would start selling the LTE-ready LG Optimus F3 on August 7. Already available at MetroPCS and Sprint (since June), the Optimus F3 will be T-Mobile’s cheapest LTE smartphone ever.

The F3 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (likely upgradeable to newer versions), and sports a 4 inch IPS display with 800 x 480 pixels. Other features include QuickMemo, QSlide, VuTalk, 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, 1MP front-facing camera, 1.2GHz dual-core processor (apparently a Snapdragon 400), 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support (up to 32GB), and a 2,460 mAh battery (capable of providing up to 7 hours of talk time, or up to 19 days of stand-by time).

T-Mobile will offer the LG Optimus F3 for a down payment of $0 (yes, zero), plus monthly payments of $10 for two years (with the carrier’s new Simple Choice Plan). You can see the handset here, although it’s not available to pre-order yet.
