AMD Confirms Kaveri will be Available in 2014


AMD confirmed that its next-generation socket FM2+ APUs, codenamed "Kaveri," will begin begin shipping in Q4-2013, and will be available "very early" in Q1-2014, in the retail (desktop component) channel. 

Mobile variants of the chip will be available a little later in the same quarter. AMD also described the stuff that "Kaveri" APUs will be made of - four x86-64 cores based on the "Steamroller" micro-architecture, major heterogeneous computing enhancements, a newer integrated graphics processor based on the and "Graphics CoreNext" micro-architecture.
