PlayStation 4 Available in Singapore Starting December 19


Console users will be happy to know that PlayStation 4 will be coming to Singapore from December 19. They will be able to purchase the next-gen console at the price of $511 / €382.

A number of 23 games will be available at launch and will include Call of Duty: Ghosts, FIFA 14 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Moreover, two bundle sets will also be featured, each being $567 / €424 and $560 / €418, respectively.

In addition to this, there is a bundle that contains the PlayStation Camera and will be released on the same day, users being able to buy it at the price of $552 / €412.

Starting tomorrow, players can pre-order at all Focus Stores and Sony shops until December 12. Those that pre-order should know that they can receive up to 2 months of free PlayStation Plus membership, as well as an $8 / €5 PlayStation Network (PSN) Money Voucher depending on which bundle gamers choose.

In case players want to try the console before buying it, Sony will be, for the first time, giving them this opportunity as a pop-up store will be set up outside Wisma Atria from December 1 to January 1.

Furthermore, all bundles will incorporate the new DualShock 4 controller that has an integrated pad, share button, headset jack and, LED player identifier. It will be available in different colors, Jet Black, Wave Blue and Magma Red.

At the moment, one will not be able to play PlayStation 3 games with the PS4, but games from the previous PS console generations are expected to be made available for the PlayStation 4 in the near future, probably next year, via cloud streaming tech. 

If players want to try Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Battlefield 4 on their new console, the titles can be upgraded to their PS4 version, for a certain fee.

Gamers that prefer to play online with their friends will have to pay a fee of $9.99 / €7.45 monthly or a $49.99 / €37one annually.

Concerning the Xbox One, it is expected to launch in Singapore late next year.
