Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini launched by US Cellular

Already released by Sprint and Verizon, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini can be now bought at US Cellular, too. The carrier has started selling the handset without any formal announcement, asking $49.99 for it with a new 2-yr contract agreement. Off-contract, the price is unreasonably high: $499.99.

You can buy US Cellular’s Galaxy S4 Mini in white here, or in black here. $49.99 is not a bad price, but it becomes questionable when you’re looking at US Cellular’s current Holiday Bundle that seems to let customers get an original (large) Galaxy S4 or a Motorola X for free on contract.

Running Android Jelly Bean (likely upgradeable to KitKat), the Galaxy S4 Mini features a 4.3 inch qHD display, LTE connectivity, an 8MP rear camera, dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, and 1.5GB of RAM. Later this month, AT&T should also start offering the handset.

World-wide, the S4 Mini was the eighth best-selling smartphone throughout September, being included in a top ten which contains only Apple and Samsung devices.
