iPod touch 4G Now Selling on Apple’s US Store

Apple is selling its fourth-generation iPod touch (with Retina display) for just $ 129 (roughly € 100) as a refurbished product via its online store. The player comes with 8GB of on-board storage.

Originally released September 2010, these refurbished iPod touch players from Apple are now selling dirt cheap at $ 129 apiece, sold through Apple's US Special Deals section.

You can choose from black and white variations, as well as order one with 32GB or 64GB of storage for $ 179 (€ 140) and $ 229 (€ 180), respectively.

Boasting the old-generation 3.5-inch display, these players are still well suitable for watching movies and playing your favorite music and games.

The fourth-generation iPod touch is the first iPod touch model to ship with a Retina display, which puts out some insanely-crisp graphics - most noticeable in games like Infinity Blade.

iPod touch also does HD Video recording and editing, and ships with Apple's old-model Earphones and traditional 30-pin connector.

"With iPod touch, you don't just play your music. You hear it, and see it, in entirely different ways, "says Apple.

As far as video is concerned, the player supports H.264 encoding up to 720p, 30 frames per second; Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in. M4v,. Mp4, and. mov file formats; 576p and 480p with Apple Component AV Cable; 576i and 480i with Apple Composite AV Cable (sold separately).
