Sony Mobile unveiled the Xperia V back in August at IFA 2012 and promised that the smartphone would be available for purchase in Q4 2012.
However, it appears there's been a change of plans and the Japanese company decided to push back the release of the smartphone in Europe with several weeks.

The folks over at XperiaBlog report Sony France has just confirmed the Xperia V won't be released in the country until January 2013.
The smartphone was originally scheduled for release this year, but Sony wants to make sure the Xperia V gets the attention it deserves.
According to Sony France, the Xperia V will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, instead of Ice Cream Sandwich.
Moreover, the phone will be priced slightly lower at € 530 / $ 675, though Sony initially put a € 550 / $ 705 price tag on Xperia V.
Sony Xperia V has already been launched in Japan at KDDI, but the phone is delivered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onboard and is known as Xperia VL.
It will also go on sale at NTT Docomo next week as Sony Xperia AX, but it won't come with Jelly Bean out of the box.
The international version of Xperia V comes equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor built on Krait architecture, which is complemented by an Adreno 225 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
Even though the smartphone packs only 8GB of internal memory, users will be able to expand the amount of storage up to 32G via microSD memory card. The Xperia V also boasts a 4.3-inch Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and features scratch-resistant glass coating. Another selling point of the device is the impressive 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
