The Acer Iconia W3 is definitely real. The tablet was first leaked a couple of weeks ago, and now it’s been confirmed by none other than Acer itself. To be more specific, we’re talking about Acer’s Finnish arm, which has gone ahead and listed the W3 on its website alongside a few details about the device (but no price, unfortunately).
The Iconia W3 will indeed be an 8-inch tablet that will run Windows 8. The company claims 8-hour battery life will grace the W3. SlashGear has it that the tablet will also have an Intel Atom Z2760 processor and will run ‘full’ Windows 8 Pro (since Acer really isn’t a fan of Windows RT).

The exact screen size is 8.1 inches, and its resolution is 1,280×768. The Acer Iconia W3 has 2 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microHDMI, a 2 MP front camera, and either 32 GB or 64 GB of built-in storage.
As you can see, a snap-on keyboard accessory will be provided by Acer, but that will probably be just an aftermarket option and not something that will come bundled with the tablet. The W3 may get announced during Computex in a few weeks.
