Galaxy S IV test device images leak


Android fans all around the world are looking forward to the launch of the Galaxy S for smartphone on Thursday. So far, we’ve seen some details of the smartphone leak ahead of the Unpacked event where the phone will go official. Some new details from China have leaked showing what appears to be an S IV test device in the wild.

The screenshots of the device list the name GT-I9502. The images show a smartphone that doesn’t look that much like what we’ve seen in other leaked photos over the last few weeks claiming to be the S4. Sister site SlashGear reckons that what we might be seeing is Galaxy S IV hardware packed inside of a case that closely resembles the Note II style to keep a low profile during device carrier testing.


The leaked images show a few details from Antutu indicating that the device has an Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU with OpenGL ES 2.0 support. The screenshots also show that the version of Android on the devices 4.2.1 and it has 2 GB of RAM. We also see a 13-megapixel camera leaked, all of which dovetails nicely with previous hardware rumors for the S4.

For those of you who can’t wait to learn more about the S IV, and only have a few more days to wait
