Sony Xperia ZL Now on Pre-Order in the US

Today, Sony Mobile announced the pre-order availability of its Xperia ZL smartphone in the United States through its Sony Store, and confirmed that other retailers would launch it as well in the not too distant future.

The high-end mobile phone can be seen on this page on the company’s website, with a price tag of $759.99 (587 Euro) attached to it, unlocked and SIM-free.

The smartphone arrives in the United States with all the high-end features that have already been announced for it, such as the 5-inch full HD touchscreen display and the quad-core processor inside.

Sony touts the device as a high-end, elegant smartphone that can deliver a wide range of appealing features in a compact design.

The specifications list of this smartphone includes 2GB of RAM to complement the aforementioned CPU, a 13-megapixel back photo snapper with support for the recording of videos in full HD resolution, and a front camera for making video calls.

The Xperia ZL will be released in the US in two flavors, namely model C6502, with HSPA+ connectivity inside, and model C6506, with both LTE and HSPA+ capabilities. The former will be a bit cheaper, at $719.99 (552 Euro).

Both will run under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system at launch, and will feature the Battery STAMINA function for improved standby time. Sony also confirmed that the new mobile phone would be released in the country in three color flavors, namely Black, White, and Red.
